Comprehensive Research Advising
You'll interact most closely with
your research advisor to develop your graduate research
program. In addition, a network of advising resources
will also assist you with your research plans: you'll
often meet with your Guidance Committee consisting
of at least four faculty members, the department's
Graduate Education Committee meets biweekly to evaluate
graduate research proposals, and all primary faculty
review progress of each student twice per year. This
strong commitment to research advising guarantees that
the entire department provides valuable support during
the initial stages of your research career.
Join our Research Community
When you join BME at Case, you are
joining an extensive research community. For example,
you'll have chances to develop new research ideas during
joint group meetings and scheduled visits with external
speakers. You'll have opportunities to interact with
many new collaborators as your research develops in
new directions. You'll disseminate your research results
throughout the international research community through
publications, patents, grant proposals, and presentations
at Case and at external conferences.
