The Case Biomedical Engineering Program
is one of the premier BME Programs in the country. Established
in 1968 with over 1600 alumni, Case BME continues to
be a top ranked program, serve as a model for innovative
education, and be an international leader in research.
Our educational program is accretited by the
Accreditation
Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The
department was built on the premise that engineering
principles provide an important basis for innovation
and unique solutions to biomedical problems. Quantitative
engineering for biomedical applications remains the cornerstone
of the program. Our outstanding faculty are involved
in cutting-edge research and collaborations. At Case,
the close proximity and strong relationships with local
medical facilities, including the world-renowned Cleveland
Clinic, gives us an advantage in providing unique research
and clinical opportunities for students. Moreover, our
department has strong industrial relationships, including
job opportunities, sponsored research, and industrial
training opportunities.
