Image Analysis and Processing

The successful applicant would be involved in activities focused on the development and application of image segmentation, registration and analysis for radiologic images. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high quality research environment, with state-of-the-art biomedical imaging facility and with strong collaboration with medical physicists, radiologists, and biologists. Specific requirements include:
• Undertake research in the fields of medical image analysis
• Development of innovative and novel algorithms in segmentation, registration and analysis of radiologic data
• Implement the research in IDL, MATLAB, or C++ and to integrate the software into an existing software platform as part of a larger development team
• Collaborate with research and industry partners on the application and development of the methods
• Communicate research findings through publication in high impact journals and presentation at leading conferences
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Prerequisite - A PhD in related to the field of Image Analysis and Processing. Outstanding candidates with a M.S. degree can also apply for this position. Experiences: Demonstrated high level scientific programming skills with expert knowledge of C++, IDL, or MATLAB. -Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Strong organizational and project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines and respond creatively and rapidly to new requirements
