BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

Phase I of Wickenden Renovations Complete

Renovation of the 4th floor of Wickenden Building has just been completed. Biomedical imaging, metabolic systems and biosensors researchers are rapidly adjusting to their new laboratories and offices. These researchers are also enjoying new levels of collegiality and collaborations that are spurred by occupying a common location. The new conference room and kitchenette & reading areas are particular areas that foster interdisciplinary interactions.

Renovation of the 3rd floor of Wickenden Building has just begun. Researchers and administrators on the 3rd floor have relocated to the 5th floor and 6th floor of Wickenden Building. Most notably, the main office has moved from room 319 to room 509. Researchers and administrators are looking forward to returning to the 3rd floor when renovation is completed later in 2005.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering would like to thank George Cadwallader of Case Western Reserve University, Hasenstab Architects, Inc., and others involved in renovating our "home away from home".
