BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING RESEARCHERS
WILL PRESENT THEIR LATEST RESULTS ON APRIL
6 AND 7
Biomedical engineers will join
hundreds of scientists and scholars for two days
of collaboration, creativity, and innovation
at Research ShowCASE. From real-world applications
to critical insights to creative and intellectual
activities, Research ShowCASE highlights the
full range of faculty, postdoctoral, graduate,
and undergraduate biomedical engineering research
at Case. Research ShowCASE is a free public
exhibit and is held in Veale Convocation Center
on the campus of Case Western Reserve University.
Additional details are available at http://showcase.case.edu/.
Dr. Jinming Gao, Associate Professor
of Biomedical Engineering, will participate in
the "Smart Polymers: Illuminating Solutions" panel
discussion at 1:30 - 2:30 pm on Thursday April
7 in Emerson Gym (Adjacent to Veale). Dr. Gao
will highlight his research to develop polymers
that target concentrated dosages of chemotherapy
medicine to cancerous tissue, which allows a
patient to avoid side effects such as hair loss
and nausea. The panel discussion will also focus
on the wide variety of practical applications
in the field of polymer development.
BME Presenters should refer to SPECIAL NEWS regarding set-up, presentation, awnd tear-down of posters. The Research ShowCASE Floorplan is also available.
Biomedical engineering researchers will present over 100 posters, which consititutes over 17.5% of the poster presentations at Research ShowCASE. These poster presentations are listed below, ordered by presentation number.
