CONTRAST AGENT
MOLECULAR ENGINEERING LABORATORY
|
The Contrast Agent Molecular Engineering Laboratory (CAMEL) focuses on the development and application of molecular imaging
using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Focus areas include:
| | Development of new molecular imaging agents that detect enzyme activities within in vivo animal models |
| | Development of new molecular imaging agents that can be simultaneously administered for interleaved detection during the same imaging session. This provides the opportunity to detect multiple molecular biomarkers during the same MRI scan session, and/or include an additional MRI contrast agent as an internal control for better quantification. |
| | Development of new methods to synthesize novel contrast agents. |
| | Development of new MRI methods for biomedical imaging, with and without contrast agents. |
CAMEL is located on the fourth floor of the Wickenden Building at Case Western Reserve University. In addition, our laboratory uses the new Northeast Ohio Animal Imaging Center (NOAIRC) that includes state-of-the-art MRI resources.
