Full description of each program

This track sequence is intended for the student who is interested in biomedical problems that utilize a skill set and knowledge base in applied mechanics. The curriculum is designed to provide a foundation for work in areas of orthotic and prosthetic devices (internal and external) sports equipment, vehicle safety equipment and rehabilitation devices. Students in this sequence are immersed in the mechanical engineering and biomechanics culture through technical electives in both departments, giving a good foundation from multiple perspectives.

Students in this sequence are encouraged to secure internships and cooperative education experiences in industries where they can gain experience in applied mechanics prior to completion of the baccalaureate degree.
