Biomedical Imaging and Computing Program
of Study
This program of study is for students entering Case on or before the fall semester of 2003.
If you are unsure about which version of the sequence you should follow, please read the guide here or consult with your academic advisor. Transfer and binary students should contact Professor David Wilson to discuss individual requirements.

Requirements for Math and Science Elective
|
| Approved courses include almost any
200 level or above course having 3 or more credits
in biology, physics, biochemistry, chemistry, or math.
Approved courses include BIOL
205, BIOL 214, BIOL
215, CHEM 223 , CHEM
224 , PHYS 221 , and BIOC
307, BIOC 308,
and BIOL/EBME
300. Students can consult with their advisor
to use another course not on this list. Understand
that one cannot double count by applying this course
toward another graduation requirement such as a technical
elective in a BME sequence. Please be advised that BIOL
216 , PHYS 204 , PHYS
208 , and PHYS 250 will
probably not be approved because of overlap with the
BME curriculum. |
NOTES
To get the informational content of a
minor in Systems Engineering, take EECS
346 as a technical elective, or EECS
352 as an open elective.
EECS
352 and EBME
380 are recommended for students interested
in immediate entry into the job market.
1. EECS
233 is offered both fall and spring semesters.
There is a time conflict with EBME
202 in the spring semester.
2. STAT
312 (spring/fall) or STAT
333 (spring) can be taken in place of STAT
332.
3. If accepted by the course coordinator,
a semester coop project can be used as a senior project.
4. EBME
324 is strongly recommended for persons
who have not taken EECS
281 or equivalent. |
