Undergraduate Co-ops & Internships
With the implementation of the BME Student Employment Program,
undergraduate co-ops and internships have grown exponentially.
Total placements in co-ops and internships for 2004 reached
134. Approximately 89 percent of our BME undergraduates who
received their BS in the 2003/2004 academic year had at least
one experiential learning opportunity while at Case. Students
looking for a co-op or an industrial
internship (one in a biomedical company) should contact
Kathy Gill, Director of Employer & Student Relations at kag13@case.edu to
schedule an appointment. For students wishing to work in a
medical, academic or research facility for a research summer
internship, two resources are available. First, a database
of for national research opportunities groups research
opportunities by state and includes NSF REUs across the country. Local
research internships or part-time positions can be reviewed
via our online posting system, which local employers use to
automatically post positions and review resumes online. Any
student who is a declared undergraduate BME major can register
to use this on-line system to review positions and upload his
or her resume.
