EBME 479. Seminar in Computational Neuroscience

 

Description
Research topics in computational neuroscience. Topics vary from year to year. Course consists of group discussions of classic and recent papers in the field and a computer project.

Course Goals
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the current work, issues and research literature in computational neuroscience. The course also teaches students to critically read research papers. By the end of the course, students should have good understanding of current research areas in computational neuroscience

Prerequisites
Consent of instructors.

Class/laboratory Schedule
Two 75 minute discussions per week.

20

Semesters and Years Offered
Offered spring semester every third year.

Computer Usage
There is a final course project or paper. Course projects involve implementing a model related to the seminar topics from that semester.
