EBME 412. Biomedical Signal Processing

 

Description
Application of digital processing techniques to biomedical signals. Spectra and digital filters. Processing evoked responses. Electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms, and other applications.

Course Goals
Students learn principles and applications of biomedical digital signal processing.

Prerequisites
Signals and systems (EBME 409)

Class/laboratory Schedule
Two 75 minute lectures per week.

Computer Usage
Many assignments require computer programs to be implemented in MATLAB.

Laboratory Projects
There are regular homework and computer project assignments. Students are encouraged to work in teams. Everyone submits a report with any collaborators written at the top of the page.
