EBME 360. BME Instrumentation Laboratory

 

Description
A laboratory which focuses on the basic components of biomedical instrumentation and provides hands-on experience for students in EBME 310, Biomedical Instrumentation. The purpose of the course is to develop design skills and laboratory skills in analysis and circuit development.

Course Goals
EBME 360 is the laboratory counterpart to EBME 310, Principles of Biomedical Instrumentation. In EBME 360, students obtain hands-on experience with transducers, circuits, and complete instrumentation systems discussed in EBME 310. As a 1-credit laboratory class, students are expected to spend on average 3 contact hours per week conducting laboratory exercises and analyzing results.

ENGR 210, EBME 308

Co-requisites
EBME 310

Class/laboratory Schedule
3 hour labs are scheduled every other week.

Offered every spring.

Computer Usage
Several laboratories involve the use of MATLAB and LabVIEW, as well as data acquisition software.

Laboratory Projects
Two-week duration team projects are assigned bi-weekly.
