Summer Design Experience

Case’s Rising Engineers & Technological Entrepreneurs (CREATE) 2014 Summer Design Experience

  • Be a design engineer for the summer
  • Learn about the engineering process
  • Work on a summer project that makes a difference

Case’s Rising Engineers & Technological Entrepreneurs (CREATE) involves students of all levels and all engineering disciplines in the real-world engineering design process. Within the Summer Design Experience (SDE), students will work full-time on projects from companies, hospitals and professional researchers. Simultaneously, summer students will receive lectures and hands-on tutorials in order to learn the necessary concepts, software, and skills required to solve the design problems. Students are given the unique opportunity to develop their engineering skills, take part in experiential learning and network with students, faculty and professionals.

The SDE consists of three design teams, with four student design engineers each. Two additional students serve as design directors, who will lead the design teams. All participants will receive a stipend  to cover costs. In addition, each project team will receive approximately $1000 for design purposes.
